How to use:

A. TESTING THE SCRIPT
--------------------------------------------------
1. Unzip the contents of this zip file in a temporary directory.
2. Copy all files and folders in this archive to a directory on your server and run the script to test it on the dummy files.
3. chmod the "profuscated" directory to 777
4. Run the script via browser: http://yourserver.com/yourdirectory/profuscator.php
5. Follow script's instructions to encrypt the test files.
6. Test the encrypted dummy files located in the "profuscated" directory to make sure they work.
NOTE: If you've used method 3 or 4 you will have to manually move the encrypted files from the "profuscated" directory
back to their original location (overwriting the unencrypted ones) before you can test them.

B. ENCRYPTING YOUR FILES
--------------------------------------------------
1. BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES FROM THE SERVER AND ALWAYS KEEP A COPY OF YOUR UNENCRYPTED SOURCE FILES!
2. Unzip the contents of this zip file in a temporary directory.
3. Copy profuscator.php and the "profuscated" directory to your server, in the same folder where the files you wish to encrypt are located.
4. chmod the "profuscated" directory to 777
5. Run the script via browser: http://yourserver.com/yourdirectory/profuscator.php
6. Follow script's instructions to encrypt your files.
7. If you used encryption methods 0 or 1 you can test the encrypted files located in the "profuscated" directory to make sure they work, or better move them first to your original directory (assumming you've already backed up your originals!).
If you used method 2 or 3 you MUST first move the encrypted files back into the original directory, OVERWRITING your unencrypted files. Make sure to preserve the profuscator.lock.php file unaltered and untouched. YOU SHOULD NEVER EDIT, MOVE, COPY OR ARCHIVE/RESTORE THAT FILE! Now you can test your encrypted scripts to make sure they work.
