Preparation

Version 1.0 will have an installer application to make this step easier for everyone. In the mean time, please follow the directions:

When you have downloaded an extracted the zip file to your computer you probably opened the documentation folder and found this file. There are 2 other folders with the documentation folder. The first folder is the Web Root folder, and the other one is the MySQL database folder. The Web Root folder is the folder you will have to upload to your webserver. This version requires PHPBounce be installed as the root of your website. In other words you can't install PHPBounce in a sub folder (ex: http://www.mysite.com/phpbounce/) of your website. Maybe you can create a subdomain to host the application (ex: phpbouce.mywebsite.com). We are currently working on fixing this issue and it will be resolved by production version 1.0. This is why PHPbounce is still in beta.

Once you have uploaded all the files to your website via ftp or any other file transfer method. You will have to import the SQL file into your database. This file contains all the information for PHPbounce to run correctly. The database.sql file in the MySQL Files folder is a plain text file which contains the instructions to setup your database. You will need to login to your database manager and import or past ALL the text in the database.sql file. Once you have imported the sql file your database should have tables with users, tickets, notes, and more stuff.

1. Upload all the files inside the Web Root folder to your website root.
2. create your MySQL database (phpmyadmin / sql admin program).
3. Procede to Setup (http://yoursite.com/installer/).
