What is ITMS? OR What does ITMS stand for?

Internet Task Management System (ITMS) is an application designed for tracking tasks and processes within an organization.

It includes features such as: e-mail reminders of when a task is due, notification when a task is assigned, and an user defined list of task templates (or types).

What can ITMS do for me?

ITMS can track the tasks you have assigned to other people, and the tasks that others have assigned to you.

It can notify you when a task is approaching it's due date.

It can help to formalize any process done within an organization that can be expressed as a set of tasks.

Is ITMS really practical as a organizational tool?

Yes. All organizational information can be directed to an email-pager or email account.

Because email has become a core component of any business environment,
it is convenient to formally track project assignments from the same mail interface.

How does ITMS select the user of a particular task?

Every task is owned by a group. The task can only be assigned by member of that group and can only be assigned to members of the same group. For instance, if a task "Configure router" is owned by group "Network Engineers", it can only assigned by the members of the group and can only be assigned to the members of the same group.

How can I redelegate tasks?

Click the Reassign Tasks link on the menu.
Select the user whose task(s) need to be redelegated. Under the selected user's pending tasks list reassign the tasks that need to be redelegated to the other users.
