Pyxy-gallery is a PHP script to make an image gallery. Intelligent JavaScript lets you browse your pictures without leaving the page - saving time and bandwidth, and reducing server load. AJAX skeptics can be reassured: Pyxy uses fragment identifiers to let you bookmark and link to individual pages within the gallery.

Unlike some simple gallery scripts, Pyxy uses the HTTP headers that browsers send to determine whether or not to re-send image thumbnails. It supports keep-alive connections to reduce loading times. New, in version 1.10! lightbox.js support will display an attractive overlay of the image on top of the page, so users don't need to leave your web site. A convenient animation displays as the image loads.
