Profanity Filter is designed to build a list of profane terms and scan a string for matches, and then it returns a rating of the content based on severity ratings and counts. This PHP script can determine if a a text contains too many obscene words, based on ratings of each word, frequency of use, etc.

This script parses a given text and checks if it uses words that are part of an obscene words list. It can also look for variants of the words and plural forms of the listed English words. This list can be modified, the ratings for each word changed, etc.
