SilverStripe Framework is a object-oriented PHP framework for developing modern web applications which is based on the MVC (model-view-controller) architecture.

The SilverStripe Framework reduces the overhead associated with common programming tasks, and enables developers to write code in a logical and structured manner. It was formerly known as Sapphire, and is the framework used to create the SilverStripe CMS.
